Vermont

I have seen an emotion I could not convey,
Now displayed in a landscape defying description.
My eyes were made blind by their scan too inadequate,
Witnessing bliss in God's own true religion.

I have known the dome of the sky,
Spreading out in directionless splendor obscured by no end,
And I have known  stillness and in stillness rapture,
And now I shall never know stillness again.
