Build a Better Mousetrap
Retract the spring as far as it will go,
Instill the mechanism's trip with bait,
For this, apply a mix of wish and hope,
And dust with trusting love's belief in fate.
Now, Dim the lights, seal tight your eyes and pray,
Lament as this contrivance fails. And then,
Repeat step one with nothing but your faith,
And know the deadly trap has sprung again.
